Andsite is one stone in the world that has solid and high density material. This stone just can found in location with volcanoes activity likes Java, Indonesia. Andesite formed from frozen of lava erupting from volcanoes. The molten lava will freeze when the temperature drop to 900-1000 degrees celcius. After freeze, the lava will formed to solid andesite rock. This stone is extrusive rocks type because it formed in the surface of the earth. Andesite usually has gray, green, black color. Andesite has very tiny holes for air holes.
The name Andesite is derived from name of Andes Mountains. This stone is used in megalithic temples and pyramids and used for tools in megalithic era, for example: sarcophagus, punden, a stone mortar, stone table, statues etc. In this modern time this stone is usually used for wall, tiles floor for hotel, elegant building, villa, etc. Futhermore, this stone can be used for make handicraft in handicraft center (Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia).
